Spam Calling

Spam callers rely on vague language.
'Is this the owner of this phone?' 'Can I speak to the account holder?'

It's intentional. Vague phrasing lets them fish for information without revealing they don't know who they called. Once you confirm your name, they have a data point for social engineering.

The hesitation when challenged is the giveaway.
